The Scottish Assembly makes politics FAIR for people with a learning disability and autistic people who β€˜Don’t do Politics’.

Fun - Accessible - Interesting - Real

The Scottish Assembly believes that learning disability and autism should not get in the way of individuals being involved in the political process and having their say.

Our aim is to make politics accessible for people with a learning disability and autistic people across Scotland so that they can engage as active, equal, and informed citizens in Local, Scottish and General Elections, Consultations, Policy Making and Leadership and Engagement work.

The Assembly provides:

  • accessible politics groups and meetings across Scotland’s political regions

  • accessible political news, current affairs, information, and communications

  • accessible training and engagement support

  • workshops and surveys to understand more about lived experience

  • engagement with political activities and representatives

  • involvement in the electoral and political process
